ABOUT US: FRANKLIN LACROSSE CLUB

The Franklin Lacrosse Club is an organization made up of athletes from the Franklin area as well as surrounding SE Wisconsin communities.

Started in 2011 with one JV team of 24 boys, Eric and Susan Fernandes, Franklin residents and parents, brought the game of Lacrosse to the Franklin Community. This year the Franklin Lacrosse Club (FLC) will begin its 15th season of play. With over 120 players, the FLC will be fielding eaight teams to compete in Boys and Girls Youth Lacrosse in Grades 1st-8th within Southeastern Wisconsin.

During the 2015-16 school year, FLC was also able to successfully transition our Boys and Girls High School teams to Franklin High School as our school district agreed to add lacrosse as a recognized school offered sport!  In 2024, Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) approved the addition of lacrosse as a sanctioned sport.

FLC remains strong in our commitment and passion to growing the sport of lacrosse in our area by offering local youth the opportunity to try the sport in a very cost-effective manner. We offer Fall Skills Clinics for a very nominal fee and spring leagues through our non-profit youth club. Our hope is that these young athletes will not only be naturally intrigued with the sport but also be well prepared to compete when they reach the high school level. Franklin High School is among a select few in Southeastern Wisconsin that offers the sport of lacrosse!

We are entirely self-funded; relying on player’s dues, fundraisers, and sponsorships. We are very grateful for the support that we have received from parents, coaches, players and community sponsors that have helped the grow the sport in our area.

Our presence and the growing popularity of this sport in our area has made it possible for Franklin High school to add lacrosse to its sports programs. Our youth club program continued in 2016 to help financially support the High School program as needed to ensure its success. And we continue to work closely with our Boys and Girls High School coaches and players in providing opportunities to work together.

FLC is an officially recognized non-profit 501(c)(3)organization.

We look forward to many rewarding seasons in the future and applaud the efforts of the fine athletes that contribute their talent and energy, the parents who support their child's dedication to the sport of lacrosse, and our sponsors, fans, and friends that make the Franklin Lacrosse Club a success.
